Your Local Automatic Glass Door Team in Sydney
In a city as busy as Sydney, the front door gets a real workout. Supermarkets, pharmacies, medical centres, banks and office lobbies see a constant flow of people, many carrying shopping, pushing prams or using mobility aids. An automatic glass door makes entry effortless, helps meet accessibility expectations under the NCC and keeps cooled or heated air inside through humid summers and chilly winter mornings. Hands-free entry has also become a hygiene expectation in clinics and food stores.
As part of our commercial glass installation work, VV Glass installs the glass panels, framing and surrounding glazing for automatic sliding and swing doors, coordinating with the door operator installer where needed. We look at traffic flow, the space available and your security needs, then recommend a configuration that opens smoothly, locks securely after hours and suits the look of your premises. From single sliders to wide bi-parting entries, every setup is tailored to the building.
How We Deliver Automatic Door Projects in Sydney
Traffic and space review
We look at how people move through your entry, the wall space available and any accessibility needs before recommending a door type.
Glass and framing specification
We specify toughened or laminated safety glass and framing sized for the door’s weight and daily use.
Coordinated installation
Glazing, framing and operator works are sequenced so your entry is out of action for as little time as possible.
Commissioning check
We confirm the door opens, closes and locks as it should, and that every glass panel sits correctly in its track.
What an Automatic Glass Door Installation in Sydney Can Include
Automatic entries can be set up in several ways. Your project might include:
Single or bi-parting sliding doors. Panels that slide open to one or both sides, ideal for retail and medical entries.
Automatic swing doors. Powered hinged doors for narrower openings or internal corridors.
Telescopic sliding doors. Overlapping panels that give a wide clear opening where wall space is limited.
Fixed sidelights and transoms. Matching glass panels that complete the entry and bring in daylight.
Safety and security glass. Toughened or laminated panels chosen for impact resistance and after-hours security.
Sensors and access controls. Motion sensors, push buttons and safety beams coordinated with the operator system.
We’ll help you choose the setup that suits your foot traffic and building.
Automatic Entries for Sydney's Busy Clinics, Pharmacies and Retail Centres
Sydney’s population keeps growing, and so does the pressure on shop and clinic entrances. Medical centres and pharmacies in places like Parramatta, Liverpool and Hurstville serve older patients and people with prams or wheelchairs, while city buildings around Martin Place and George Street manage heavy peak-hour crowds. These premises need entries that are accessible, secure and energy efficient all at once. Older arcades and shopfronts often need the opening reworked too.
Accessible entry. Hands-free doors with generous clear openings that help meet NCC accessibility requirements.
Climate control. Doors that close automatically to keep cooled air inside through humid Sydney summers.
Security after hours. Laminated glass and locking set-ups that secure the entry once trading ends.
Wind and draughts. Well-sealed tracks and frames for exposed entries that cop strong southerly gusts, keeping draughts and dust out of the shop floor.
We plan each entry around the people who walk through it every day, from customers and patients to staff and deliveries.
How Much Do Automatic Glass Doors Cost to Install in Sydney?
Automatic glass door costs vary from one site to the next. These are the main factors that shape your quote:
| Price driver | How it affects your quote |
|---|---|
| Door type | Telescopic and bi-parting doors cost more than a single sliding panel. |
| Opening size | Wider and taller entries need larger, heavier glass and stronger framing. |
| Glass choice | Laminated or performance glass is priced above standard toughened glass. |
| Operator and sensors | The motor, sensors and access control options influence the total. |
| Existing entry | Removing an old door or altering the opening adds labour. |
After a site visit we’ll provide a clear, itemised quote.
Automatic Door Installation for Sydney Businesses, City to Suburbs
We install automatic glass doors for businesses across Greater Sydney, starting with the CBD (NSW 2000) in the City of Sydney, where office lobbies, hotels and shops around Martin Place, George Street and Circular Quay rely on smooth, reliable entries. We also work in busy commercial hubs including North Sydney, Parramatta, Liverpool, Bankstown, Hurstville and Miranda, supporting medical centres, pharmacies, gyms and supermarkets. Retail centres in Chatswood and Bondi Junction are also on our list.
VV Glass operates from Engadine (NSW 2233) in the Sutherland Shire, about 35 km south of the CBD via the Princes Highway, with the M5 giving us direct access to south-western Sydney. Because an entry is out of action while we work, we plan each install carefully, often outside trading hours, and arrive with the correct glass and framing so your doors are back in service as soon as possible. Wherever you trade, we aim to leave you with an entrance that welcomes every customer.
Safety & Compliance
Every shopfront installation is completed to Australian Standards for glass and glazing, ensuring compliance and peace of mind. We use high-quality, commercial-grade materials designed to resist impact and wear, keeping your premises safe without compromising on visual appeal.
